Attached to Lakeland Regional Health, this is the Behavioral Health Unit that serves as both an Outpatient facility and an Inpatient facility, providing care and treatment for emergency stabilization, specialty care, anxiety disorders, substance abuse (as well as alcohol and/or opiate detoxification), psychiatric evaluations, and clinical depression. The Outpatient department offers services from various highly-skilled therapists and psychiatrists in a comforting treatment setting along with meditation and outdoor sitting areas. The Inpatient department, which also acts as a Baker Act Receiving Facility, has 96 inpatient beds to provide a peaceful and comfortable treatment environment to adults, children, and adolescents offering various services such as a gym facility, outdoor sitting areas, and an activity center (provides various therapeutic services such as animal therapy, music therapy, movements groups, etc.) with a dedicated team of therapists and psychiatrists. All services are designed to focus on restoring patients to their highest level of functioning and educating family members on counseling and mental health.
